Due to an increased tightening of British law ruling on the destruction of IT and computer equipment and to comply with EU regulations, many companies are looking to help close the environmental loop by recycling their equipment wherever possible. Computers and monitors for example can no longer be discarded indiscriminately and must now be disposed of in a way that is environmentally and ecologically friendly.

Safe disposal is even more imperative as some items of IT equipment have toxic components that could harm the atmosphere if disposed of incorrectly.

The data protection law now instructs that information on personnel computer hard drives could be confidential and must therefore be destroyed or deleted in a confidential manner.

The recycling process starts by attempting to repair broken equipment, which is then cleaned up and updated to a reasonable working standard before it is donated to various charitable organizations. During this process the hard drive is wiped clean or pulverized, dependant upon the clients needs. A Certificates of Destruction supplied upon completion.

A Certificate of Destruction will be issued compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 on completion of our process.
